  1. The "Serial Switch" Control Panel is necessary for running Cubase on the Macintosh IIfx and Quadra 900/950 computers only. You do not require this Control Panel if you are using any other model of Macintosh computer.

  5. 1. The Installer program included on your Program Disk will automatically install this Control Panel into the correct place in your System Folder. If you have run the Installer program and have installed Cubase using it you can skip to 3.

  7. 2. To install this Control Panel manually, drag the file "Serial Switch" into your System Folder. If you are still using System 6 you must now restart your computer.

  9. 3. The "Serial Switch" should then be opened from within the Control Panels folder (System 7) or the Control Panels (System 6). Ensure that the  "compatibilty mode" option is set. If it is not, check the box and restart your Mac.

  11. Cubase can now be run without any further changes.
